Alex Murdaugh’s five shocking words were revealed after the murders of his wife and son at the Colleton County Courthouse in Walterboro, South Carolina, on Monday.

Jurors heard evidence about Mr Murdaugh’s second interview with law enforcement on June 10, 2021 – three days after he was charged in the shooting deaths of Maggie, 52, and Paul, 22, at the family’s estate in Islandton on June 7, 2021.

In the interview, SLED Special Agent Jeff Croft testified that Mr. Murdaugh told him: “I did it so bad.”

The audio of the interview has also raised doubts, with some believing he says: “They did it so badly.”
