Tottenham boss Antonio Conte said it would help if other people from the club spoke to the media to give answers to questions he could not answer.
The hierarchy of Spurs and chairman Daniel Levy have recently been criticized, with “Levy out” chants heard in some matches.
Conte believes that it is a “bad habit” that in England only head coaches are obliged to regularly forward in public.
“In England it is a bad habit that it is only the coach who speaks and explains,” he said. “I have never seen the medical department come (to press conferences) and explain why the player has difficulty recovering. I have also never seen a club or sports director come here to explain the strategy, the vision of the club.
“In Italy, before every game, someone from the club goes with the media and answers many questions. For us, this can be really better, because otherwise every time we put only one face to explain situations that can be better for the club to Explain.
“If it is only the coach, sometimes there are misunderstandings. It would be good to have the club to be present in the media and to speak. Not every week, but every 15 days, once a month. It could also be more simple For (the media) the understand situations.
Conte said he did not speak to chairman Daniel Levy about speaking to the media because “the time of the situation is normal for every club”.
The Italian also said that he does not understand why he and his Tottenham team have been criticized recently.
Spurs lost 2-0 to rivals Arsenal on Sunday and are five points behind the Champions League positions with a game in hand. Conte’s side have conceded two goals in each of their last five home league matches.
They were also worshiped after the derby defeat. But Conte said: “If there is criticism, we have to accept. It is difficult to understand what the criticism (is for), because we do what we have to do. We have to accept (it).
“What I can say is only one thing – we work really hard every day for this club.
Spurs travel to Manchester City on Thursday night. They beat City twice last season but have lost all four matches against teams above them in the table this season.
When asked about the struggles against better sides, Conte said: “We are trying to improve. If it’s just about the psychology, we can solve the situation, because I believe the psychology here is really strong.
“When there is a loss it is difficult to give … I do not like to justify. It is the game, you have to do your best. And we do our best. We have to try to recover the best form of the Players. If someone is not happy I can tell you we are doing our best… not 100 percent but 200 percent.
Spurs have suffered with injuries of late but midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has offered them a boost by declaring himself fit for the City game.
He has been sidelined since limping out of Uruguay’s final World Cup game against Ghana with an adductor injury.
With Richarlison making his comeback from a hamstring strain against Arsenal and Dejan Kulusevski also fit again, Lucas Moura (tendon) could be the only Spurs away from the Etihad.
