Marriage disaster. When returning from vacation with the fiance Ryan Dawkins, Clare Crowley Realizes her wedding dress has been stolen – but she says it’s fate.
“I know I always share this, but I deeply believe that everything should happen as it should, regardless of whether it looks good or bad or what I want. Or not what I want. I believe deep in my soul that everything is for a reason. And we may not know what that reason looks like now but it works. So let me tell you what happened. Done,” the former Bachelorette, 41, told viewers on Saturday, January 28, to her Instagram Story.
She continued: “When Ryan and I got back from Hawaii earlier this week, my car broke down while we were gone. And guess what was in the car? Remember that My wedding is coming soon. My wedding dress was in my car! It was there because I had to take it to get the last change and I wanted to remind myself not to forget it.
Unfortunately, a thief stole the wedding dress before she could return. The theft upset and upset the former Bachelor A contender, especially since her big day is right around the corner.
“In the moment, like, ‘Ugh, what do I do?’ And I thought, ‘That’s right. It’s about the moment and what we’re celebrating. I can do anything, and I’ll be happy that we’re there.’ So I went to raise my veil.. . And I was talking to the owner and he was the sweetest thing in the whole world. I just told him, ‘I forgive you right now. This is what just happened.'”
The bridal shop owner turns out to be Crowley’s fairy godmother and finds the perfect replacement. “Basically, over the course of three days, I got a new dress that was altered, pressed, completely altered in a better way, like even more fitting. Turns out, it was a wedding dress that three It was on my Pinterest board years ago. This is my dream dress,” Crowley gushed.
“I have to say it’s all because of the owner, Roy. She actually picked out the clothes and was like, ‘Wear this here.’ And I was like, ‘Well I’ll wear anything!’ And it really turns out where—it’s going to make me cry,” California said as her eyes began to water. “This is the most beautiful dress and it’s better than I could have imagined. So, [I’m] Still crying tears of joy but everything works exactly how it should work – and sometimes even better. Even in the moment where it seems that something is not good, I think that it is getting better. It remains to be seen how it will be.”
By changing her clothes, she has “something new”. She also showed off her “Something Debt” and “Something Blue” on Saturday. She will wear a pair of diamond earrings that have been borrowed, and her handkerchief is embroidered with the phrase “Happy Tears” in blue thread.
“How cute is this handkerchief? I’m not going to lie. When I opened it, I bawled my eyes out,” Hair said via Instagram Story on Saturday. “I feel like I’m so emotional right now because we’re getting married soon and it’s really what I’ve been dreaming of and it’s good. Oh good. So I’m very excited.”
Crowley and Dawkins began dating quietly in 2021 but only went public with their relationship in September 2022, a month before the mascot sports CEO proposed.
