Column: ‘Watermedia’ show opens opportunities | Local entertainment

Building and inspiring community through the visual arts. SAGE’s Community Arts mission is one that I may be biased towards but truly believe in its essence. Our latest exhibit in the exhibit gallery is “Wyoming Waters: Small Works Water Media.” This publication is everything SAGE strives to be through our mission.

When working to put together the art requests for the “Wyoming Waters: Small Works” exhibit, it was key to have minimal restrictions for artists to submit artwork to the exhibit. The proposal for a call for art states that work must be created within the last two years, must be primarily water-based media (watercolor, gouache, acrylics, etc.), must be over 20 inches in height or width. Not too much, including the frame, and that there are only 40 places on a first-come, first-served basis.
