Country legend Loretta Lynn died in October, leaving many musicians in the industry to mourn the singer. John Carter Cash, son of Johnny Cash and Jon Carter Cash, is one of those musicians. In an interview with Fox News, Cash shared that Lynn was “like a mother” to him.
Loretta Lynn remembers John Carter Cash as her mother
On November 16, Fox News aired an interview with Cash. In the interview, Cash talked about his friendship with Lynn.
“And there was Loretta, I worked with her, we recorded 105 songs in the latter part of her life. Working with her and her daughter Patsy [Lynn] As a producer and in the studio,” Cash shared.
He continued, “She was like a bright light and a spark that was in my mother that went on. And her laughter, her joy, just the fact that she was real and she never changes, and she’s hers.” She was very aware of her limitations and strengths.

Johnny Cash’s son thinks Loretta Lynn was like a mother
During his career, Cash has released several studio albums, and he told Fox News that he has worked more with Lynn than any other artist.
“I’ve recorded more with Loretta Lynn than anyone else in my career,” Cash said. “And it was school for me, it really was.”
Cash then said that Lynn was “like a mother” to him, especially when they worked together on music.
“But she was like a mother to me, and she really was. Especially those times in the studio. She’d be in my studio three or four days in a row. And she’d be out at night on her own. stay in, and he would come and record. I could never have him stay in my house,” Cash told Fox News.
He continued, “She and Willie [Nelson]. He still likes his bus. But anyway, it was like having my mother back in the studio.

Loretta Lane has died at the age of 90
Like many artists in the country music industry, Cash remained friends with Lane until her death in October 2022.
On October 4, Lane’s family announced that the singer had died at the age of 90.
“A statement from Loretta Lane’s family. “Our precious mother, Loretta Lane, passed away in her sleep this morning, October 4th, at her home on her lovely farm in Hurricane Mills,” the statement said. is read in Twitter.
Since Lynn’s death, many tributes have been paid to the singer by her peers in country music. Recently, Reba McIntyre, Miranda Lambert, and Carrie Underwood paid tribute to Lane at the 2022 Country Music Association Awards.
It was the first time that McEntire, Lambert, and Underwood had ever performed together after years of working together in country music.
