The best red carpet fashion at the 2023 Critics’ Choice Awards
From Michelle Yeoh to Lily James, see the best-dressed celebrities at the 28th Critics’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
In a night of fashion, many attendees opted for black gowns – but there were plenty of striking silhouettes among them, from Quinta Bronson’s form-fitting Robert One dress with asymmetric ruffles to Angela Bassett’s stunning Christian Seriano. Up to the design.
Elsewhere, metallics and sequins proved popular. “White Lotus” actor Aubrey Plaza impressed in a sparkling Louis Vuitton gown with colorful gradient accents, while “King of Women” star Tousou Mbidou wore a dress by the French label with gold, silver and bronze jewels. . Candidates Amanda Seyfried and Sheryl Lee Ralph, both of Abbott Elementary, chose gold dresses by Dior and Joanna Lewis, respectively.
In a trend seen on recent red carpets, Elle Fanning and Janelle Monae were among the few stars to wear cut-out dresses.
The evening’s men wore shades ranging from Andrew Garfield’s camel-colored Zegna suit to Henry Golding’s dark teal dress. Ke Huy Quan, Billy Eichner and Harry Shum Jr. were among the many attendees who arrived in shades of maroon, on a night where many male guests eschewed the traditional black-tie dress code.
