The best red carpet fashion at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards
Check out some of the most glamorous looks from LA’s Beverly Hilton, where stars gathered to mark the 80th edition of the awards.
The ceremony serves as a bellwether not only for who will win the Oscars in March, but for the fashion trends we can expect to see throughout awards season.
Many attendees came in black and gothic-inspired outfits, from Selena Gomez’s dramatic Valentino gown to the lace cap that Jamie Lee Curtis wore over her strapless jumpsuit (also by the Italian label). Lisa Koshy and actress Peg Butcher were among the other stars who opted for dark lace ensembles.
But there were pops of color — and plenty of ruffles and glittery sequins, too. Laverne Cox wowed in a vintage John Galliano dress and Julia Garner was one of several stars wearing powder pink, as she arrived in a three-tiered Gucci design. Walking the gray carpet with the organizers this year, Lily James and “Top Gun: Maverick” actress Monica Barbaro both took the opportunity to wear a stunning red dress.
Many of the men of the evening broke the black tie tradition in bright and elegant outfits, from Eddie Redmayne’s oversized silk tuxedo to the powder blue Louis Vuitton suit worn by “Inshine of Inshine” star Barry Keoghan. Elsewhere, Reese Feldman went for a flowy skirt while Tic Tac star Josh Richards wore a cropped T-shirt under his pinstripe suit.
