Fortunately, like all video games, PS5 games eventually come down in price, regardless of how good the games are. The games listed here are very good and now they are also the cheapest PS5 games out there.

Horizon Forbidden West

A triumphant combination of exciting combat, sophisticated creature and character design, and an engaging open world, Horizon Forbidden West is an absolute blast and a stunning showcase for the power of the PS5. Although the return of some familiar series trappings and a noticeable lack of freeform climbing never threatens to derail the enjoyment, it leaves it frustratingly lacking in anything revolutionary. Important developmental steps have been firmly placed in the right direction, however, and there are no doubts about the many, many hours of fun to be had with Aloy, who claims to continue to be one of this generation’s greatest gaming characters. Guerrilla has once again outdone itself with Forbidden West, and at this trajectory, neither the horizon nor the sky is the limit for what could come next.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is stunning. It not only gives the latest generation of consoles a game that looks as beautiful as the improved technology promised, but it is also an amazing experience to play. Insomniac has been around the Ratchet and Clank block many times before, but Rivet and other new characters add so much charm, wit and heart to a franchise I’ve loved for most of my life. That’s coupled with series-best action platformer gameplay and incredible art and sound design throughout. Rift Apart may not be the biggest adventure around, but its big heart, wild weapons, and incredible detail easily make it one of the most memorable of the year so far.
Demon’s Souls

The Bluepoint team had the unenviable task of remaking an 11-year-old game with a cult following and making it look – and play – like the very first game developed from the ground up for this current generation of consoles. And that’s exactly what they did. Demon’s Souls is stunningly gorgeous and plays significantly better than it did on the PS3, not just thanks to the PlayStation 5’s graphical power, but smart quality-of-life tweaks and light touches that modernize some frustrating aspects of the original, without ever sacrificing the relentless challenge. puzzle-infused boss battles, and style that made it such an important game in the first place.

The moment-to-moment gameplay of Returnal is sublime, with a great selection of weapons that each have a variety of interesting potential characteristics, meaningful strategic decisions that can either save a run or doom it to sink, and punishingly challenging but rewarding. shooting that is consistently exhilarating. Even with all this focus on action, it never drops the ball on the story. Its big problem is that it takes too long, and there’s no way to save progress outside of putting the PS5 into rest mode. This subdues the desire to immediately come back and try again after failure, although not enough to stop it. Even so, Returnal is an incredible roguelike, and one of Housemarque’s best games to date.
