‘WandaVision’ Spinoff ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’ Casts Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza joins Kathryn Hahn in Marvel Studios’ upcoming series “Agatha: Queen of Chaos” on Disney+. kind of Learned from sources.

The series is a spin-off of the Marvel show “Wanda Vision”, with Han set to reprise the role of Agatha Harkness. Exact plot details, including the character Plaza will play in the show, are being kept under wraps. Emma Caulfield Ford is also set to reprise her role as Dusty from ‘Wanda Vision’ in the new series, while kind of It is exclusively reported that “Hellstopper” star Joe Locke will also star in “Queen of Chaos.”

As has been the case in the past, Marvel does not comment on the projects they have in the works. Representatives for Plaza declined to comment.

The role marks a reunion of sorts for Plaza and Hahn, as both previously appeared on the NBC sitcom “Parks and Recreation,” with Plaza starring as April Ludgate on the series, while Hahn memorably played political strategist Gene Barclay in about a dozen episodes. Plaza currently stars in the HBO anthology series “The White Lotus” as well as the second season of the FXX animated series “Little Monsters.” She is best known for her roles in shows like “Parks and Recreation” and “Legion.” Among the features, she has starred in projects such as “Dirty Grandpa,” “Ingrid Goes West,” and “Emily Jeremy.”

Plaza is produced by CAA, MGMT Entertainment and Schreck Rose.

In “Wanda’s Vision”, Han began playing Agnes, Wanda and Vision’s naïve neighbor, before it was revealed that she was actually Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch. In the Marvel comics and series, Agatha is shown to have survived the Salem Witch trials and is more than a match for Wanda, aka the Scarlet Witch. When viewers last saw her at the end of “Wanda’s Vision,” Wanda used her powers to forcibly bind Agatha back to her Agnes persona on Westview.

“Wanda Vision,” the MCU’s first live-action show on Disney+, collected 23 Emmy nominations in its debut, including for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for Han. One of the show’s wins came in the Best Original Score and Lyrics category for the song “Agatha All Together”, which was used as part of the reveal that Han’s character was not what he seemed.
