
After ten years, Louis Vuitton reunites with the world-renowned Japanese contemporary artist Yaoi Kusama for a A second collaboration. Art is no stranger to the French luxury brand as it is known for its collaborations with artists such as Takashi Murakami, Jeff Koons and Kusama.
To celebrate the new collection, which is scheduled to be released in January 2023, Louis Vuitton and Yaoi Kusama have taken over Tokyo with a series of art installations as well as digital AR (augmented reality) experiences. Artifacts and interactive features are scattered throughout famous Tokyo landmarks including Tokyo Tower, Zojoji Temple, Shiba Park, Shibuya Scramble Crossing and Tokyo Station. On the digital front, Shinjuku’s 3D billboard features a video of a Louis Vuitton truck designed with Kusama’s polka dot motif and an avatar of the 93-year-old artist. Video ad is playing between 7am and 1am daily until December 7.

The installation of the LV logo at the foot of the Zojoji Temple is on display until then December 5. You can hold it in between Every day at 8 am and 10 pm (up to 6 PM on the last day). In the evening, the installation will be illuminated by the sun From 4 pm to 10 pm.
In addition, Tokyo Tower has been transformed into a festive holiday tree with the Louis Vuitton logo displayed on the exterior of the iconic tower. This installation is available November 30 Also in between December 16 and 18. The light on Tokyo Tower is from it 5 pm to 12 pm.

People walking through Shiba Park can see Kusama’s installation with chrome spheres as well as her signature pumpkin-like hot air balloon. Both facilities are available from Daily from 8 am to 10 pm Until December 29. It will also light up in the middle of the evening 4 and 10 p.m.

At Tokyo Station you will find another animated installation with Gyoku Dori. This exhibition is only here December 25

A giant skating rink has been revealed near Tokyo Station, decorated with Kusama’s famous polka dots. The skating rink is open every day 11 am to 10 pm until December 25 .

Finally, look for this quaint LV Fish Cafe on Gioco Dori towards the Imperial Palace. This pop-up cafe is up to that December 25Serving snacks and drinks Every day from 11 am to 10 pm.
The new collection, which hits stores in the new year, will feature handbags and accessories with hand-painted polka dots or metal parts similar to those found in Kusama’s ‘Narcissus Garden’ installations.
